Shalom House of Prayer was once a convent and is now used as a spiritual retreat. The theme of Interfaith Dialogue fits very well with their philosophy. Work will include general maintenance, gardening, painting, depending on the weather. Local community members will assist. This workcamp will follow the Peace Education seminar and some of the international delegates will join it. It is possible to join this workcamp for the first five days, the second five days or the whole 10 days. Application fee is $250 for 10 days, $200 for 5 days. Apply Now

Wildlife Care, Kuranda, Far North Queensland, Australia
This project is ongoing and requires volunteers for five weeks periods, with the first post beginning in April.
Description
The volunteer will assist Betty to take care of injured and orphaned wildlife. There are a wide variety of native animals and birds that need to be healed, nurtured, fed sometimes requiring four hourly feeds or to be carried in a pouch to simulate the maternal environment. Training will be given. Food and accommodation will be provided in the family house. Accommodation can be provided for an optional extra week at the end to allow for sight-seeing.
$250 application fee for Australians for this MTV position. Fee for applicants from other SCI branches to AUD$100 – in addition to any application fee paid to your own branch.
