Medium and Long-Term Volunteer Projects
IVP’s Medium and Long-Term Volunteering Projects gives volunteers the possibility to stay abroad from 3 to 12 months, Medium-term volunteers (MTVs) work for 3 to 6 months; Long-term volunteers (LTVs) work for 6 to 12 months (or even more).
You can search Medium and Long-Term Volunteering Projects in the database below and contact us to discuss how to apply by completing the contact form below. We aim to respond to all phone and email messages within 72 hours.
Volunteers are provided with food, accommodation and a modest amount of pocket money and are usually covered by a basic SCI insurance. Travel costs to the project are generally covered by the volunteer and there are no age limits.
Please note:
- Relevant volunteering experience is a pre-requisite for medium and long-term placements since the demands placed on the individual volunteer are considerably higher in comparison to that of a short-term workcamp. Those who have not satisfied this requirement are not eligible to apply for an MTV/LTV placement.
- Volunteers will be assessed for their suitability for each individual placement and the selection criteria will be based on relevant experience and/or training.
IVP is a membership-based organisation. To be accepted on one of our projects you must firstly become a member.
